The all time favorite Gujarati snack, Dhoklas but made with semolina or suji.
Ingredients
- 1 cup suji
- 1/2 tsp ginger paste
- 1/2 tsp green chilli paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1/2 cup sour curd
- 1/2 cup water
- A Pinch of baking soda
For The Tadka
- 1/2 tsp rai
- 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
- 4-5 curry leaves
- 2-3 green chillies – slit
- 1 Tbsp oil
Method
- First of all take a large bowl. Add sooji, ginger paste, chilli paste, salt, sugar and oil and curd. eBat them well. So that mixture becomes smooth.
- Now pour some water in to the mixture and mix well again.
- Meanwhile grease a plate with oil.
- Now add a pinch of baking soda in the mixture and stire gentaly. Immideately pour in greases plate and place in the steamer.
- Steam for 20 minutes. Immideatry remove the plate from the steamer and keep aside to cool.
- In n small pan heat the oil for the tdka, add the rai, curry leaves and green chillies.
- Cut the dhokla into rectangle pieces and pour the adka over.
- Garnish with the coriander and eat.
